The fresh students of three departments planted several hundred colorful flowers and decorated the park with colorful department names

Sindh University Campus Larkano arranged flowerbed competition as part of orientation week for the fresh batch inducted in 2023 on Thursday. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Azhar Ali Shah along with Assistant Commissioner Larkano Ms. Shahida Parveen Jamro, District Forest Officer Arshad Kumario, Heads of Departments, Office Bearers of Leaders Society and others inaugurated the competition.
The fresh students of all three departments prepared and planted several hundred colorful flowers and decorated the park with colorful department names, benches, little free libraries surrounded by plants, flowers and books.
Competition was judged by three member committee including Forest Officer Arshad Kumario, Prof Jam Jamali and Atif Rafiq Samo.
Ms. Rukhsar Brohi and Waqqas Solangi representing Computer Science Department secured the first position, Ms. Pirah Chana, Ms. Jameela Chandio, Bilal Brohi and Ahad Ali Lahori representing English Literature Department secured the second position while Ms. Dua Chandio and Safiullah Bhatti representing Business Administration Department secured third position.
All the position holders received the cash prize and certificates from Dr. Azhar Ali Shah, Ms. Shahida Parveen Jamro, Arshad Kumario, Heads od Departments GM Shaikh, Hussain Ali Kunbhar, Abdul Rasheed Chandio and office bearers of Leaders Society Abdullah Tunio, Ms. Kulsoom Abbasi, Kamran Bhutto, Yaseen Memon, Tariq Korai, Mohsin Chandio and others.
Addressing the students Dr. Azhar Ali Shah, Ms. Shaida Jamro, Arshad Kumario and others appreciated the art work and great efforts of all the fresh students for beautification of the campus environment. They said that planting trees and preparing flowerbed is essential for prevention of devastating floods and other dangerous climate change effects.
They said that the life of the flower is a complete example for the life of the human and its philosophical interpretation was explained in details. At the end group pictures were also taken separately with each department. (PR)
