It seems that the law enforcing agencies, being managed with a budget of hundreds of billion rupees, are meant only to protect the rulers and the elite class people.

Once again, the crime rate is increasing in Karachi, Hyderabad and elsewhere in Sindh. The situation has so deteriorated and one cannot expect anything good from the police as there seems no rule of law. People have been victims of street crime on a daily basis. And now-a-days, it’s easier for a robber or a vehicle thief to shoot a man dead on the spot if the person fights back.

These scratches hurt and affect the people hailing from middle classes and lower classes because they are already dealing with price hike of petrol, food and even the school fee.

No one is safe from street crime or even the hookers are not safe. Many people lose their lives or their loved ones in front of them and people are helpless; they cannot dare to save others or risk their own lives.

It seems that the law enforcing agencies, being managed with a budget of hundreds of billion rupees, are meant only to protect the rulers and the elite class people. It has been observed that the ministers, advisors, special assistants to the Chief Minister, MNAs, MPAS, and even the grade 17 officers of police and rangers have big escorts but no attention is being paid to security of common man. This VIP culture must end and law and order must be restored so that the citizens can live a peaceful life.
