Moroccan poet Hassane Yarti appointed Vice President of the Korean Association of World Literature
In a significant move that strengthens cultural ties between Arabic and Korean literature, the Korean Association of World Literature has announced the appointment of Moroccan poet and writer Dr. (Hon.) Hassane Yarti as the Association’s Vice President with a permanent, lifetime tenure.
According to the official certificate issued by the Association’s Executive Committee in South Korea, this appointment recognizes Dr. Yarti’s distinguished literary career and his profound contributions to enriching the global poetic and literary landscape. His term officially commences in 2026, vesting him with full authority and responsibility to help lead this prestigious international institution.
The Korean Association of World Literature is a renowned organization comprising an elite group of prominent Korean and international poets and academics. It aims to create a global platform for cultural exchange and literary translation across various world languages.
In an initial commentary on the appointment, Dr. (Hon.) Hassane Yarti, based in Spain, is expected to play a pivotal role in activating the Association’s presence within the Arab and European spheres. This appointment opens new horizons for Moroccan and Arab creators to reach audiences in East Asia.
