Internationally acclaimed poet Dr. Bhawani Shankar Nial hailing from Odisha state, has been awarded the prestigious Doctor of Global Leadership degree by Dayspring International University, USA.
The event was held recently at Bhilai Steel City, Chhattisgarh state of India. Dayspring International University is an independent self-styled and autonomous private online theological Institution, and a unit of Epitome State Academy Inc. Florida USA and accredited to serve students around the globe by providing theological education through distance learning mode. Dayspring International University is affiliated with the Paris American International University – France. It offers globally accredited programs through part time and full time means of learning.
This accolade follows the Doctor of Literature degree he received from the same institution last year, underscoring his exceptional contributions to global literature and leadership.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Nial thanked Dr. Amos James, the university’s Registrar, along with its President, Vice-President, and Dean, for recognizing his work and bestowing this honor.
Dr. Nial’s literary works have achieved worldwide acclaim, with his poetry being translated into 24 languages. His Lockdown Poetry Collection has been published in five international languages, accompanied by an acclaimed international review book, further solidifying his global reputation.
The conferment of this distinguished degree has garnered widespread recognition and praise, with organizations from across his state and beyond sending heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Nial. His contributions continue to enrich and inspire the world of literature.
Dr. Nial having long literary journey with the experience of 25 years, is also the Chief Editor of ‘Mahuri’ Odisha India, a biannual literary magazine since 2008, and currently, he is working as Executive Editor of Writers International Edition Athens Greece. He is also the Chairman of Organizing Committee India Panorama International Literature Festival 2024 and 2025 Athens. His poems had been translated into 24 international languages and published in 50 International Literary Magazines and Journals.
