Kyrgyzstan expands economic ties with Afghanistan

The ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan discuss a wide range of issues in various areas, including trade, investments, transportation, and energy

In the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, a meeting took place between the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Daniyar Amangel’diyev, and the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaki. During the meeting, the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The head of Afghanistan’s foreign affairs expressed deep appreciation for the humanitarian assistance provided to the Afghan people residing in the highlands and affected by the destructive earthquake in the Herat province.

The ministers discussed a wide range of issues in various areas, including trade, investments, transportation, and energy. They expressed interest in establishing economic ties to ensure mutual benefits.

Both sides expressed confidence that the development of trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan would contribute to the improvement of the well-being of the people in both countries.

In conclusion, the ministers emphasized the importance of supporting small and medium-sized businesses in both countries, as well as the necessity of establishing contacts between the business communities of the two nations.

Simultaneously, Kyrgyz companies engaged in the industrial and manufacturing sector, textile industry, as well as in the production and processing of meat and meat products, were presented to the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Representatives of Kyrgyz companies shared information about their activities, production capacities, and opportunities for establishing bilateral business contacts.
