Last wish of slave

In chains I wait, my spirit bound,

My body bruised, my soul unbound.

The sun beats down, the days stretch long,

And still I wait, my hope not gone.

I dream of freedom, of open skies,

Of endless fields, and no more lies,

Of breaking free from shackles old,

And finding refuge, safe and bold.

I hear the whispers, the rumors spread,

Of a land where all are free instead,

Where chains are broken, and hearts are light,

And hope is born, to end the night.

I long to see that promised land,

To feel the sand beneath my hand,

To taste the air, to breathe it in,

And feel the joy that comes within.

But until then, I wait and pray,

For freedom’s light to guide my way,

For justice to be served at last,

And for my chains to be uncast.

So hear my cry, O freedom’s call,

And lift me up, lest I should fall,

And set me free, to live and love,

And soar, like eagles, up above.

Eternal love

A damsel fair, with eyes like stars,

Her love for me surpassed by far

The brightest flame, the purest light,

A love that burned both day and night.

Her touch was gentle as a breeze,

Her laughter like a song of ease,

Her love for me a raging fire,

A force of nature, never to tire.

But like a thief in dead of night,

She left me with no warning sight,

And all the love that we had shared,

Was gone, as if it never cared.

She was the sun that lit my days,

The moon that guided me through maze.

But now she’s gone, and left me bare,

A world of darkness, with no repair.

Oh damsel fair, with heart of gold,

Your love for me will never grow old.

For in my heart, you’ll always be,

A love that lives eternally.
