Chandigarh | Kolkata, India

The Bhasha Samsad, the publishers from Bengal, have published Bengali version of ‘Lustus’, an epic poem authored by Dr. Jernail Singh Anand. The book has been translated in Bengali by Dr. Tamali Neogi.

The book carries English and Bengali version of the book Lustus, which took six months of arduous work by Dr. Tamali Neogi. Another dream of hers to see Lustus walk into the streets of Bengal and conversing with young scholars who will find it easy to refer to English and Bengali versions at the same time. I appreciate her interest which borders on passion for literature, which gave a new lease of life to Lustus.

The book contains selected articles on Lustus by eminent scholars Dr. Basudeb Chakraborti, Dr. Laksmisree Banerjee, Dr. Lalit Mohan Sharma, as well as Dr. Tamali Neogi,

It also contains scholarly blurbs by Dr. Asha Mukherjee, Sh. Arindam Roy and news coverage…reviews by Prof Shiv Sethi and Prof Navneet Kaur.

LUSTUS IN PERSIAN

Dr. Jernail Singh Anand had authored the book originally in English. LUSTUS has already been translated into Persian by Dr. Roghayeh Farsi, University of Neyshabur Iran. The work on Hindi, Tamil, Arabic and French versions are on.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Lustus’ is Prince of Darkness, his name suggests that his existence revolves around lust. Milton’s Pandemonium is later created by this Lastonia in which Satan’s reign is significant, and the new Lustus is anointed as the hero. In the 21st century, people’s reliance on technology in their lives, along with the stress of becoming increasingly alone, has become Lustus’ weapon. He wants to conquer mankind by tempting man with various facilities and comfortable life. He challenges the gods of heaven not to neglect mankind like them. But even the gods don’t want to lose power. So the battle cries rang out with a strange but real result.

Lustus’ is Prince of Darkness, his name suggests that his existence revolves around lust.

The characters of this modern play, written in the structure of an epic poem, crosses the boundaries of different eras, crosses the history of different religions and holds together, talking to each other through dialogue. In the end, the plan of Lustus was successful? To find out, read “Lustus: Prince of Darkness”.
