Chairperson of Sindh Commission on the Status of Women says “When women don’t befriend each other, it becomes easy for men to raise their hands”

“There is not much research done on women. Instead, there is just copy-pasting,” says Nuzhat Sherin, Chairperson of Sindh Commission on the Status of Women, while speaking at a ceremony on Thursday March 23, 2023.
At the concluding ceremony of a ten-day workshop of Women Media Center in Karachi, Nuzhat Sherin said, “When journalism began, there were only four or six women in this field. But now, many women are working in this field.”
Stressing that the inclusive participation is necessary in political activities, she said, “Keep information about institutions.”
Nuzhat further said, “Instead of tolerating violence, end it.”
“It is not important to remain on positions, but it is important to work while remaining in positions,” she said.
“When women don’t befriend each other, it becomes easy for men to raise their hands,” she viewed.
Female students from major universities of the city, especially those related to media, participated in the training session held under the title of ‘Digital and Technology’.
At the end of the program, Nuzhat Sherin distributed certificates among the participants and appreciated the efforts of Women Media Center. (PR)
