Dr. Muzaffar Husain from UK highlights relevance and importance of psychoanalysis, medical science, psychological defense mechanisms, myths and misconceptions about interpretation of dreams

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC), Karachi, in collaboration with Pakistan Association for Mental Health (PAMH), organized a seminar on “Psychoanalysis and Interpretation of Dreams” on May, 25th 2023.
Dr. Muzaffar Husain, consultant forensic psychiatrist and psychoanalyst from NHS, London UK was the keynote speaker.
He highlighted the relevance and importance of psychoanalysis in this modern era of medical science, psychological defense mechanisms, myths and misconceptions about interpretation of dreams.
The program was attended by Chairman Sindh Mental Health Authority Senator Karim Ahmad Khawaja, as the chief guest and President PAMH Dr. Syed Ali Wasif as guest of honor, besides renowned psychiatrists of Karachi, postgraduate trainees and house officers.
