The sealed flour mills include four of Landhi Karachi and two of Nawabshah

On directions of Chief Secretary Sindh, officers of food department and Assistant Commissioners of respective sub-divisions conducted raids at various flour mills of Karachi and Shahed Benazir Abad Region on Wednesday March 1, 2023 and on account of hoarding government wheat stocks, non-grinding and selling flour at higher prices in violation of notified ex-mill prices six flour mills were sealed.
The sealed flour mills are Adil Flour Mill, Farhan Flour Mill, Hamza Flour Mill and Hyderi Flour Mill of Landhi District Korangi Karachi while in Shaheef Benazir Abad Qalandri flour mill Nawabshah and Indus flour mill Nawabshah were sealed.
Further action regarding cancellation of license of flour mills will be taken by the Food Department. (PR)
