The Sindhis danced to the tunes of songs; speakers wished Happy Sindhi Culture Day to all Sindhis around the world.   

Dal Pakwan, Bread Pakoda, Sevaiyan and sweets were served to all the participants after cultural program was over.

The Sindhi community of Vadodara (Baroda) in Gujarat state of India celebrated Sindhi Cultural Day on Sunday December 5 like the Sindhis around the world.

The celebrations originated from Sindh as a major festival by holding cultural gatherings at public places wearing Ajrak and Sindhi caps. The men women and children in almost every city and town use to dance on cultural songs of Sindh. Similarly, in other countries, Sindhi communities use to organize such cultural events.

Ekta-Day-Vadodara-Sindh-Courier-3Ekta-Day-Vadodara-Sindh-Courier-4It was first time in Baroda that the Sindhi community celebrated this festival. Baroda, known with its new name Vadodara, is the third largest city of Gujarat state.

Mr. Haresh Agnani told Sindh Courier from Baroda that the Sindhi Community organized cultural gathering in the premises of Makhijani Charitable Trust where Mr. Jagdish Makhijani and Madam Jashoda Sharma had made the arrangements. The Sindhi Cultural Program was directed by Mr. Jeetu Hirani.

The men, women of all ages and the children enthusiastically took part in the program and danced to the tunes of songs. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Makhijani and others extended heartiest congratulations and wished Happy Sindhi Culture Day to all Sindhis worldwide.

Haresh Agnani told that Makhijani Trust is serving 250-300 poor daily with food packets and other necessary items.
