Sungi Foundation hands over medicines to health centers in Sindh

The medicines were given to Rural Health Centers of Chak and Mia Jo Goth district Shikarpur and Atta Mohammad Hami Village district Khairpur.

The NGO also hired lady doctors, Community Midwives and health & hygiene promoters at each RHC to facilitate flood-affected people.

Sungi Development Foundation handed over medicines to Rural Health Centre (RHC) Atta Muhammad Hami Village in Khairpur. It had also provided medicines to the RHCs in Shikarpur district.

Under the Project “Supporting Health and Nutrition Initiative in Flood areas of Sindh” Sungi Development Foundation and Alight have joined hands to respond the health and nutrition needs in flood affected areas of Sindh, particularly in districts of Shikarpur and Khairpur.

The scope of this project is to collaborate in health and nutrition services delivery in three Rural Health Centers (RHC) in Sindh.

The project locations are RHC Chak & RHC Mia Jo Goth district Shikarpur and RHC Atta Mohammad Hami district Khairpur.

Sungi Development Foundation for this project hired various technical staff like lady doctors, Community Midwives and health & hygiene promoters at each RHC to facilitate flood affected people in both districts in selected RHCs, a press release said.

Dr. Rehmatullah Solangi District Health Officer Khairpur, Dr. Naseer Soho Medical Superintendent Rural Health Centre Atta Mohamamd Hami , Dr. Rizwan Solangi, Focal Person DHO Khairpur, Sabir Khan Yousafzai Regional Program Coordinator-Sungi Development Foundation, Jawaid Solangi Project Coordinator-Sungi Development Foundation were present while handing over medicines to RHC Atta Muhammad Hami.
