“If any student is caught doing copy, he will be disqualified,” Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards

Karachi, Sindh

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations will be held from Monday May 8, 2023 across the province including Karachi.

Minister of Universities and Education Boards Sindh Ismail Rahu said that the exams will be conducted in two shifts in all divisions of Sindh and schedule thereof has already been issued.

Ismail Rahu urged the federal government and K- Electric that in view of the increase in heat intensity in Sindh, and students’ difficulties in exams, load shedding should not be done in the areas of exam centers during the exams.

He said that more than 700000 male and female students will appear in the matriculation examinations in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Mirpurkhas divisions.

In Karachi 400 examination centers and 25 examination centers in Hyderabad are sensitive.

Minister said that the in-charge of the examination centers will provide facilities of cold water to the students and security will be tightened in and outside the examination centers to prevent copy culture.

Ismail Rahu further said that vigilance teams have been formed for all examination centers, and there will be a ban on the use of mobile phones by teachers and students in examination centers. The Section 144 has been enforced around examination centers during examinations in all divisions.

“If any student is caught doing copy, he will be disqualified,” minister warned, according to an official handout issued on Friday. (PR)
