Khairpur, Sindh

The Awami Democratic Party (ADP), in its General Council Session held on Sunday denouncing a recent  resolution passed by the Sindh Assembly empowering the federal government to encroach its resources, declared that such a move will not be accepted at any cost.

“The federal government has no authority to seize provincial resources, and the people of Sindh will not allow federal government to capture the resources,” the ADP declared at its 2nd Central General Council session held at Kunmb in District Khairpur under the chairmanship of party president Advocate Lal Shah.

The party also opposed the resettlement of the aliens and termed it harmful for the foundation of the country. “Such policies are like the cancer that have gradually hollowed the existence of country’ foundations’.

“These policies are part of the conspiracies to turn the Sindhis into minority in their own homeland,” the party said.

Awami Democratic Party - Sindh Courier-1Addressing the meeting, the leaders said that despite the passage of 5 months and receiving a huge international aid, no measures have been taken for rehabilitation of the areas and the people of Sindh devastated by the torrential rains and floods. “No measures have been taken for draining out the flood water and even in this severe cold, the people of Sindh are living without shelter,” they lamented.

They further said that the country’s economic situation is close to bankruptcy, but the rulers have focused their all energies and resources to defeat Imran Khan, and do more corruption, as doing something for the welfare of the people was not on their agenda.

They said that the Sindh government should pay the salaries of newly recruited teachers as soon as possible.

They said that the year 2023 will be celebrated as a full year of educational rehabilitation and rehabilitation of flood victims.

The session was attended by Karam Hussain Wasan, Khadim Talpur, Professor Manzoor Chajaro, Dur Muhammad Buriro, Ghulam Qamber Hajano, Deen Muhammad Qureshi, Nisar Chana and others from different districts.

It was decided in the session that the central conference will be held in Karachi on March 19, for which an election commission was formed headed by Amir Gul Katohar and Deen Muhammad Qureshi and Dr. Zafar Qadri as members.
