Some reasons behind the failure of education system are dearth of empirical studies and moral teaching, outdated syllabus, copy culture, accountability, monitoring and lack of interest and honesty on both the sides – teachers and students.
If the education system, supposed to give birth to engineers, doctors, other professionals and scholars, doesn’t work better, it will never make a nation prosperous.
Education is the main seedbed to live a superior life, but unfortunately this source does not work better in Pakistan.
Some reasons behind the failure of education system are dearth of empirical studies and moral teaching, outdated syllabus, copy culture, accountability, monitoring and lack of interest and honesty on both the sides – teachers and students.
The government has also played role in backwardness of education system. The syllabus is not market-oriented and there are no practical activities according to scientific studies in institutions besides no merit selections in entry tests and competitive exams.
Outdated syllabus has caused failure of education system, as it is not updated or refreshed since decades. There seems no any change in concepts of books.
In government institutions, the teachers do not take classes on daily basis, and due to this the students also lose the interest. There is no proper check on attendance of teachers as well as students, as the biometric system has become just a mockery.
Schools and colleges are filled with teachers having no any specific degree, and have been selected on the basis of political recommendations. Due to this injustice, many other well-educated and carrying degrees are wandering jobless.
If government starts focusing on all these issues, it can make education system excellent.
We have to uplift our education system to a certain level; there should be check on insincere persons and harsh punishment or heavy penalty should be introduced for one who so ever missed the class and don’t perform properly.
