First ever Pediatric Rehabilitation Center opened in Hyderabad

Established at CDF Hospital Hyderabad, the Center is affiliated with Bilawal Medical College Jamshoro.

Vice Chancellor Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Ikram Din Ujjan inaugurated on Saturday July 2, 2022 the first ever “Pediatric Rehabilitation Center” at CDF Hospital, Station Road Hyderabad, which is affiliated with Bilawal Medical College Jamshoro.

Vice Chancellor expressed that such sort of health facility for the children diagnosed with multiple diseases was need of the hour, and it is for the first time that within one roof various facilities related to the rehabilitation of children shall be available in Hyderabad. “Even in Karachi separate specialties have different centers,” he said.

He added that it’s an achievement to provide facility of Speech therapy for delayed Speech and Stammering, Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Behavior therapy, Neuro psychologist assessment for autism, Hyperactivity, Depression, Anxiety, School refusal, Behavior problems and other related issues shall be treated at the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center.

The Vice Chancellor also appreciated the untiring efforts of Prof. Salma Shaikh Head of Pediatrics Department Bilawal Medical College, Director General Health Services Sindh Dr.  M. Juman Bahoto, Distinct Health Officer Hyderabad Dr. Lala Jaffar and Medical Superintendent CDF Hospital Dr. Syed Noor Muhammad Shah for establishment of Pediatric Rehabilitation Centre.

Earlier Out Patient Department of Pediatrics and Diagnostic & Research laboratory LUMHS, was also inaugurated by Prof. Ikram Din Ujjan at CDF Hospital.
