Alessia from Almax Magazine: I would like to start by asking you how your passion for writing was born and what were the key moments in your artistic journey?
Gioia Lomasti: My passion for writing began as a child. I remember spending hours writing poems and stories, immersed in my inner world. The key moments of my artistic journey were certainly the publication of my first collection “Passaggio” in 2008, which marked a turning point for me, and the creation of “Vetrina delle Emozioni” in 2011 with Marcello Lombardo. This project allowed me to come into contact with many other authors and artists, creating precious creative synergies.
Alessia: You have collaborated with numerous authors and artists, both nationally and internationally. How important are these collaborations to you and what drives you to seek them?
Gioia Lomasti: Collaborations are fundamental for me. They enrich me both professionally and personally. Every meeting, every exchange of ideas and skills represents a new source of inspiration and growth. I always try to establish creative synergies because I firmly believe that joint work can give life to unique projects and enrich my artistic production with new and stimulating influences.
Alessia: Your collection “Passaggio” has been described as an emotional diary. Can you tell us a little more about this project and what inspired you to write it?
Gioia Lomasti: “Passaggio” was a very personal project. It is a collection born from the need to express deep emotions and feelings through poetry. Each poem is a window into moments and reflections in my life. I wanted to create something that was authentic and would also resonate with the reader. The inspiration came from my life, the experiences I went through and the people I met along the way.
Alessia: You created the site “Vetrina delle Emozioni.com” to promote emerging writers. What drove you to undertake this initiative and what were the most rewarding results?
Gioia Lomasti: The push came from the desire to give voice to emerging talents who deserve visibility. I have always believed that every author has a unique story to tell and should have the opportunity to share it with a wider audience. The most rewarding results were seeing how “Vetrina delle Emozioni” has become a reference platform for many writers and artists, and how it has contributed to the emergence of new voices in the literary and artistic panorama.
Alessia: From 2009 to 2020 you curated a radio event for the “Vetrina delle Emozioni”. What was this experience like and what memories do you take with you?
Gioia Lomasti: The radio experience was extraordinary. It was a weekly creative workshop that gave space to writers and songwriters, creating a bridge between the written word and the voice. I had the opportunity to meet and interview many artists, to share their stories and to create a real space for artistic expression. I will always carry with me the memory of the many participations and the warmth with which the public welcomed the program.
Alessia: Finally, what can you tell us about your future projects? Do you have any new collections or collaborations in the works?
Gioia Lomasti: I have several projects in the pipeline, both in the literary and artistic fields. I’m working on a new poetry collection that I hope to publish soon and continue to collaborate with other artists to create joint projects. Furthermore, I want to further expand “Vetrina delle Emozioni” to offer even more space and visibility to emerging people. I’m always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow and share my passion for art and writing.
Alessia: In addition to your artistic career, we know that you have a special bond with Marcello Lombardo, with whom you created “Vetrina delle Emozioni”. Could you tell us more about your marriage and how your relationship influenced your artistic path?
Gioia Lomasti: Marcello has been and continues to be a fundamental part of my life, not only on a personal but also professional level. Our marriage is the culmination of a love that has always lasted, a deep bond that has enriched both of us in many ways. Collaborating with him is natural, we understand each other quickly and we share the same passion for art and writing. Our relationship has given rise to many creative projects, including “Vetrina delle Emozioni”.
Alessia: How did you manage professional collaboration and your personal life? Were there moments when it was difficult to separate the two areas?
Gioia Lomasti: Of course, it can be a challenge to separate your personal and professional life, especially when you work so closely together. However, we have always tried to maintain a balance. The key was open communication and mutual respect for our spaces and needs. We support each other and this has allowed us to face difficulties together, both in life and at work.
Alessia: Magazine: Is there a project that is particularly dear to you among those created with Marcello?
Gioia Lomasti: “Vetrina delle Emozioni” is certainly the project that is dearest to us. It was born from our common desire to promote new talent and create a space dedicated to art and poetry. It is a project that fully represents our vision and our shared passion. Every new edition, every new artist that we manage to highlight, is an immense satisfaction for both of us.
Alessia: What was the most exciting moment of your artistic journey together?
Gioia Lomasti: One of the most exciting moments was certainly the launch of the “Vetrina delle Emozioni” website. Seeing how our project came to life and how it was received by the artistic community was incredible. Another unforgettable moment was our wedding, which symbolized not only our personal union but also our shared commitment to creativity and art.
Alessia: Do you have any dreams or future projects that you hope to realize together?
Gioia Lomasti: Absolutely. We always have new dreams and projects in mind. We are working on new initiatives to expand “Vetrina delle Emozioni” and to offer even more opportunities to emerging artists. Furthermore, we are thinking about a series of live events and new collaborations with other authors and creatives. The idea is to continue to grow together, both as a couple and as professionals, and to continue to contribute to the art world in a meaningful way.
