Kyrgyzstan has refused to acquire the services of foreign road builders to save its budget, as the cost of awarding contracts of road construction to foreign companies was manifold.

“We will build all roads in Kyrgyzstan ourselves in order to save budget funds in the future”, President Sadyr Zhaparov said.

According to him, the Ministry of Transport and Communications is purchasing new equipment for these purposes.

“We will build roads ourselves. Previously, under various pretexts, construction was given to foreign companies, the cost was 3-4 times more expensive. It was convenient to cut together with them and appropriate budget money. Openly traded for a share, helping investors win tenders. This is no secret to anyone. Therefore, we bought equipment for the Ministry of Transport and began to build it ourselves. Costs will be reduced by three to four times. Until we have received all the equipment, we are waiting for another 700 units. In the future, we will asphalt roads in every village. There will be enough strength and budget”, Zhaparov said.
