Rotary Club of Karachi Sunset Millennium District 3271 distributed warm cloths and blankets among 700 flood victim families at Taluka Kotdiji of Khairpur district on Friday.
The warm clothes and blankets were distributed during the flood-affected areas of Kotdiji Taluka. Delegation of the Rotary Club of Karachi Sunset Millennium District was led by its president Sohail Japan Walla and Mrs. Dina Rasheed.
On this occasion they announced providing 20 Laptops and chairs for IT center Kotdiji so that the students enrolled at IT center Kot Diji can resume their study.
Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Secretary Minorities Affairs Department of Sindh government, who accompanied the delegation, told them that in recent rains and floods, he tried his best to support relief activities for flood affected people of Kotdiji Town and now on the platform of GFT (Ghulam Fatima Trust) named after her late mother, they are building houses for the homeless people of the town.
He told the delegation that Kotdiji city was most affected in floods and said that GFT had provided cash to the owners of the shops to resume their business activities in market, while the trust also reconstructed many houses.
President Rotary club Khairpur Khair Muhammad Khamisani on that occasion also briefed the delegation regarding the rescue, relief and rehabilitation activities carried out by Rotary Club Khairpur.
