Belgian Parliamentary Delegation Visits Flood-Affected Areas Of Kotdiji

Delegation visited Taluka Hospital Kot Diji and administered polio drops to the children in connection with the ongoing anti-polio campaign

A delegation of Belgium Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, accompanied by the Belgian ambassador in Pakistan, visited on Friday various flood-affected areas of Kotdiji Taluka. The delegation also inspected Taluka Hospital and Water Supply Schemes.

Kotdiji-Belgian-Delegation-SindhCourier-1The delegation consisted of chairperson, Belgium Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group Senator Ms. Allessia Claes, Senator Philippe Courard, State Senator, Ms. Ozlem Ozen, and Member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, Belgian Ambassador to Pakistan Charles Delogne and Nisar Ahmed, Deputy Director (IR) Focal Person of visit.

Delegation visited different departments of Taluka Hospital Kot Diji and while visiting the patients administered polio drops to the children in connection with the ongoing anti-polio campaign across the district. They also visited Kotdiji Fort.

The representative delegation of Belgium applauded the measures taken by the federal, Sindh government and the district administration of Khairpur in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation.

District Health Officer Dr. Rehmatullah Solangi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zafar Abbas Abbasi, Assistant Commissioner Darya Khan Chandio and other relevant officers provided information about the mechanism and planning on health, relief, de-watering and other works.
