Sindh government is working on a plan to develop its own cricket team consisting of the youths of province to play at national level, Chief Minister Syed Murad Shah disclosed on Monday.

“I am trying to create a cricket team for PSL in which young cricket players would be given a chance to find a place in the national team. I am working on it and would find a sponsor soon,” he said adding that the team would be based in Sukkur.

In his meeting with fast bowler of Pakistan Shahnawaz Dahani at Chief Minister’s House, Shah said that his government would not only promote him (Dahani) but create an environment in which new talent in cricket would come forward.

The CM, just to encourage newly emerged fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani, had invited him over a cup of tea and encouraged him to work hard to shine the name of the country. “My government will promote you in all intent and purposes so that you can focus on your spots,” he said and added there were a lots of other youngsters who need proper promotion and encouragement

Murad Ali Shah told Shahnawaz Dahani that he would organize a cricket match and would love to bat against the faster bowler like him [Shahnawaz Dahani]. On this, Shahnawaz said in a lighter mood that he couldn’t out a decent player like Murad Ali Shah.

The chief minister assured Dahani that he would be promoted, and all his issues would be looked after.

The chief minister presented his shield, Sindhi cap and Ajrak to Dahani as a token of respect and wished for his best future in cricket. Shahnawaz Dahani, hailing from Larkana, has recently joined the national team and gained recognition. (PR)
