Government officials, representatives of civil society, women police, women lawyers and others attended the workshop

A Training Session on Sensitization and Inclusion of Transgender Community was organized by district government Khairpur, Peace and Justice Network and Bhittai Social Watch & Advocacy (BSWA) Khairpur at Darbar Hall of Deputy Commissioner office Khairpur on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sharjeel Noor Channa while addressing the training Session said that transgender are part of our community and with the support of the federal and provincial governments, step-by-step plans are being implemented for their rights.
He said that the transgender community has equal rights as other human beings and urged all the relevant officials and representatives participating in the workshop to support them at all levels with respect and ethics and help them in social activities and to take it as much as possible to help them get their rights.
DC Khairpur said that everyone was affected by the recent floods and rains, so the provincial government and the district administration Khairpur worked day and night to provide relief and other facilities to the victims of flood.
He said that possible support will be continued and implemented on priority basis to resolve the issues of flood victims.
ADC Zafar Abbas Abbasi, Khadim Mirani of BSWA, Dr. Iqbal Bhurt, Abdul Jabbar Khaskhali, Madam Fouzia Hanif, representatives of Health, Social Welfare, Women Police, Lawyers, Child Protection, Information department, PPHI and others participated in the workshop.
Khadim Mirani and Zaheer Ansari briefed in detail about the laws passed by the federal and provincial governments for the rights and support of transgender community.
Appreciation certificates were distributed to all government and non-government officials, representatives, women police, women lawyers and related officials who participated in the workshop.
