Absurd Tale

Sindh!

Once a valley of ancient civilization,

Mother to all, with stories and traditions.

Shah Latif, his Risalo,

Its proud manifesto,

Now reduced to debris, a sorrowful echo.

Sindhi people, once proud and strong,

Reduced to tissue paper,

Trampled and wronged,

Corruption, the order of the day,

Feudal lords, their power on display.

The bureaucracy nexus, an unbreakable chain,

No life left, only pain and disdain.

Sindhi people, their dreams on hold,

Their land occupied, a story untold.

Like Palestine, they too ask, Where to go?

Who to task.

Their voices muted, their pleas unheard,

A tragedy, a tale, so absurd!
