I am alone – Poetry from India

I am like a lamp that has been extinguished,

Tell me, in what effect am I not alone?

I AM ALONE

It felt like I was alone at home,

But in truth, I am alone in the entire city.

Even with a whole caravan beside me,

It amazes me that I am alone on this journey.

There are a thousand admirers, yet

In every gaze, I find myself alone.

I am like a lamp that has been extinguished,

Tell me, in what effect am I not alone?

I will surely find my destination,

If I am alone in my skill and conviction.
