Sindh govt. establishing a new ‘Central Hospital’ in Karachi

LG Minister Nasir Shah laid the foundation of the hospital at KDA land cleared of illegal encroachments

Sindh government is establishing another most modern and well-equipped hospital at Water Pump to provide healthcare facilities of Federal B Area of Karachi.

On Sunday, Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah laid the foundation stone of the hospital named as ‘Central Hospital Karachi’ being built at a cost of Rs.4 billion.

Central Hospital Karachi will consist of 6 floors and basement including four towers. The Central Hospital will have trauma center, general hospital, cardiology ward, emergency, gynae, and children’s emergency medical facilities. A community center and nursing school will also be established in Central Hospital.

Minister said that phase-I will be completed on priority basis with estimated cost of Rs.1 billion. “The health facilities will be provided in the Central Hospital under the supervision of Pakistan Medical Association,” he said.

Minister was accompanied by Minister of Labor and Human Resources Saeed Ghani, Secretary LG Najam Ahmad Shah, Director General of KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Dr. Asim, Chief Minister Sindh’s Coordinator Shehzad Memon, and other PPP leaders.

Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah said that Central Hospital Karachi will be built in a short time with the support of the Sindh government to provide medical facilities to the citizens by ending the encroachment on the KDA land in the water pump area.
