Alliance aims to unite women lawyers at Sindh level and work for their development and protection

The introductory ceremony of the recently formed Sindh Women Lawyers Alliance was held in the District Khairpur on Saturday.
The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Shazia Nizmani, the Provincial Chairperson of the Alliance.
District Convener of the Alliance and Joint Secretary of the Bar, Advocate Ayesha Parveen Khand, General Secretary District Bar Association (DBA) Khairpur Altaf Hussain Marri, Advocate of Supreme Court Manzoor Hussain Larik, and President of PPP Ladies Wing Khairpur Advocate Zainab Shar while addressing the ceremony said that said that the aim of establishing Women Lawyers Alliance is to unite women lawyers at Sindh level at one platform and work for their development and protection.
In addition to this, they will also struggle to solve the problems faced by women lawyers and to prevent harassment of women lawyers at the bar and bench.
They said that the Alliance is making concrete efforts to establish a separate bar room for women lawyers across Sindh, establish a child care center for children and to establish a hostel in Karachi, and to understand and implement the law on violence and harassment against women.
They said that the alliance will ensure the membership of new and professional women lawyers and devise strategy in collaboration with police, judges, media and other social institutions to create constitutional and legal awareness among lawyers by organizing seminars.
They said that today’s woman is more conscious than before and woman advocate are well informed of women rights.
They said that male Lawyers at every stage are providing every possible support to female Lawyers.
They said that introductory meetings of the alliance are being held all over Sindh, including Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Shikarpur, Hyderabad, MirpurKhas, Ghotki, Hyderabad and other districts of the Sindh.
