It’s suspected that the girl and her parents are under pressure, as the police, lawyers and even the court have kept mum about accused nominated in the case

The 14-year girl Sohana Sharma, who kidnapped, recovered, sent to shelter home on court orders, was finally handed over to her parents on Monday, however the mystery still shrouds over the case as the police, girl’s parents, lawyers and even the court has kept mum about the perpetrators.
The girl was brought from the Safe House Nawabshah in the court of the Civil Judge/Judicial Magistrate-11- Qazi Ahmed, district Nawabshah by the investigating officer of Qazi Ahmed police station to record the statement under 164.
Sohana Sharma, daughter of Dilip Kumar, in her reported statement denied the forced marriage and said that she had left the house to visit her friend Gurya and she does not know any of the accused nor was abducted by any accused.
The court after recording her statement, handed the girl over to her Parents on bond of Rs.10000.
Advocate Prakash Kumar, Advocate Murtaza Abro, Advocate Imtiaz Chandio and others said that court handed her over to parents after recording her statement.
It is pertinent to mention that on 6th June, 2023 Dilip Kumar, resident of Dost Muhammad colony near Qazi Ahmed had registered FIR against suspects Akhtar Gabol, Sarang Khaskheli and Faizan Jatt and others that they had on gunpoint entered in his house and made them hostage in a room of house and then kidnapped his daughter Sohana and also took away gold and cash.
Qazi Ahmed Police on Friday last recovered the girl and brought to the court to record the statement under Section 164, after which the court had sent her to the safe house for medical test and age determination.
The document of Hindu girl Sohana Sharma becoming a Muslim and marrying Akhtar Gabol was also revealed on social media and the video statements of the girl were also released on social media.
Mother Champa Sharma and father Dilip Kumar had demanded the custody of their daughter who was sent to the safe house Nawabshah on the court order.
According to them, they had sent their daughter to accused teacher Akhtar Gabol for tuition, but the teacher played a role of a wolf in the form of a teacher.
They had said that relationship of teacher towards their student is like a father.
The mother of the girl Sohana Sharma and her father had requested the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court to hand over their daughter instead of sending to safe house.
In view of the reported statement of the victim, it is suspected that the girl and her parents were under pressure by the accused persons and their supporters. A number of questions remain unanswered about the role of police, lawyers and the court in saving the culprits who kidnapped the girl and kept her hostage.
