Summer Plates – A Poem from Azerbaijan

The sound of spring comes to my heart,
If it were to be carried, a thousand beauties would not be able to carry it…

SUMMER PLATES!!
The South is wearing green,
The North is wearing a sign…
The flood of rivers is waking you up,
Work is already falling on your shoulders…
The paths of the village will make you tired,
The roads of the city are winding…
The shepherd’s “el bayatısı” on the slope,
A first question spreading across the deserts…
The girls’ faces, flushed with chastity, remind us of old times…
The touching of hands in a tender embrace, ignites the feeling of love…
Everyone is filled with the fragrance of flowers,
They fall in love with daffodils and violets…
The “grainy” snow that remains on the mountain tops,
Falls on the sick, who will find healing…
The sound of spring comes to my heart,
If it were to be carried, a thousand beauties would not be able to carry it…
Beauty has always been my worship: Worship cannot live without faith!!
