Over 106 Research Papers presented by scholars from Malaysia, America, China, Turkey and Pakistan at 3-day International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering Technologies organized by Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur

More than 106 research papers were presented by scholars from Malaysia, America, China, and Turkey, and from across Pakistan during the three-day international conference on emerging trends in engineering technologies, which concluded on Thursday May 11, 2023.

The conference was organized by Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs.

The closing ceremony of the first international conference on emerging trends in engineering technologies was held in the auditorium of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Campus Khairpur Mirs.

Imtiaz Hussain Gilani, Chairman of the National Technology Council, Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor of Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Prof. Pro Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Campus Khairpur, Prof. Dr. Abdul Shakur, Prof. Dr. Haider Abbas Mousavi, Prof. Dr. Hussain Bakhsh Mari, Dean Faculty of Engineering Technology were the special guests.

Addressing the closing ceremony Imtiaz Hussain Gillani Chairman National Technology Council said that the voice of the Technology and Technologists should be taken up with the authorities because they are being ignored.

He said that since 45 Years the Engineers and Engineering Technologists are lagging behind their status and they should be given their status.

He said that such manifestation and Program are Representative the Engineering Technologists.

He said that there are the three pillars – Engineers, Engineering Technologists and Engineering Technicians, and these three Pillars should be strengthened for the sustainability of the Engineering Technology to meet the challenges.

The papers presented by the domestic and foreign researchers in the international conference will give new breath to the research. “The youth of Sindh should come towards technology and get technical education and get them recognized in the field of technology,” Professor Dr. Rasool Bakhsh Mahar, Vice chancellor of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs, said in his address.

Prof. Dr. Rasool Bakhsh Mahar further said that in the future Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs will organize prestigious conferences on new trends in technology, which will benefit the students and the community.

Malaysian scholar Prof. Dr. Fatiheha Shuja in her address said that there is a lot of intelligence in the young students of Pakistan. “They are recognizing themselves in the field of research.”

Addressing the international conference, Professor Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand said that the current era is the age of technology and artificial intelligence. According to him there is a great demand for skills both in Pakistan and abroad.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Shakoor said that the day is not far when Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development Khairpur will stand shoulder to shoulder with the great educational institutions of the world. “Youth should be attracted towards technical education,” he exhorted.

Professor Dr. Abdul Sami Qureshi said that in the future, conferences will be organized by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development Khairpur which will awaken the youth of Sindh for more research.

Prof. Dr. Haider Abbas Mousavi, Prof. Dr. Hussain Bakhsh Marri and Dr. Aftab Ahmed Soomro also addressed the conference. On this occasion the guests were given recognition certificates and commemorative shields by the Vice Chancellor.
