The Adieu – Poetry from Hyderabad Sindh

Adieu to rainbows, skies once blue,
To all the light and warmth I saw in you.
Goodbye to rains that once would fall,
And wrap us in their tender thrall.

The Adieu
To dreams we built, now myths of yore,
Let go of thoughts that you were mine,
To crafted truths and love’s design,
Goodbye to joy we used to share,
To moments lost in thin air—
Here ends the tale we once believed.
Lay to rest the trust I placed in you,
Embracing every word as true.
Adiós to love I freely gave,
To vows we swore, now in the grave.
I thought saying our goodbye
Would flood my world with endless cries,
Yet thou, with silence and your choice,
Stilled my heart, muted my voice.
Adieu to rainbows, skies once blue,
To all the light and warmth I saw in you.
Goodbye to rains that once would fall,
And wrap us in their tender thrall.
Now all I hold are bitter scars,
Wounds you left like falling stars
So, this is not just thy farewell—
It’s to each hope in which I fell,
To every lie, to every gleam,
To every half-remembered dream.
The parting—not with a whispered plea,
But strength that set my spirit free.
