Sindh govt. approves 367 more jobs on deceased quota
Jobs were approved for the heirs of provincial govt. employees of health, education, irrigation, agriculture, forest, food and other departments
Sindh govt. has approved 6213 jobs on deceased quota since 2019 – Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah
Karachi: Some 367 jobs were approved on Friday in a meeting on implementation of deceased quota in various departments of Sindh government. The deceased quota is fixed for the legal heirs of the employees who died during service.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah at Sindh Secretariat. Secretaries of all concerned departments attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that 6213 jobs have so far been sanctioned on deceased quota since 2019.
The meeting approved 367 jobs in various departments including 66 in Health Department, 9 in Agriculture, 9 in Auqaf, 162 in School Education, 9 in College Education, 46 in Local Government, 9 in Population Welfare, 7 in Works & Services, 3 in Law Department, 24 in Irrigation, 3 in Public Health Engineering, 4 in Food Department, 4 in Home Department, 2 in Industries Department, 1 in Labor Department and 6 in Forest & Wildlife Department.
Chief Secretary directed the secretaries of all the departments to release the salaries of the cases approved by the committee earlier. He sought report from all Deputy Commissioners regarding District Recruitment Committees’ (DRC) meetings. (PR)
