Dr. Perwaiz Shaharyar is a Consultant Editor (Urdu) in National Council of Educational Research and Training, Ministry of Education, Government of India. He had been Principal Publication Officer in National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language in 2007. He has been, a member of Advisory Board of National Book Trust India. He is a Multilingual (English, Hindi and Urdu) famous poet, short story writer and critic from India. He is Graduate with English Honors from Ranchi University. He topped Jawaharlal Nehru University in Masters with Literature. He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy for his Research Work from University of Delhi. He is Post Graduate Diploma holder in Calligraphy, Mass Media and in Book Publishing with Specialization in Editing. He began writing poems in English since lockdown in the period of Pandemic Covid-19. He has written around 100 poems, participated in many worldwide webinars and published in various international anthologies, so far. His as many as 25 poems have been translated by many award winning litterateurs in Polish, Indonesian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Albania languages. His poems are being published in several magazines within country and abroad. His poem ‘The Burning Boat’ contains mystic (Sufism) and metaphysical elements. He has bagged many States and National Awards and accolades for his literary works. His around 200 articles and research papers have been published in reputed national and international literary journals and periodicals. He has total 22 published books, 3 each of collections of short stories and collections of poems, 5 books of criticism and 4 books of translation from other languages in his credential. His one children story book has been published by a premier organization National Book Trust, India. He has translated 12 books of Children’s Literature in Workshop mode for NBT, India, so far. His 2 books on children’s story were published from most prestigious publication houses of India. His collection of 22 stories for children is ready to print from India. Furthermore, his anthology entitled as “The Burning Boat” is under process for publishing, which is likely to be brought out.

Peace on the earth is always good to human kind
It is as true as this proverb, good mind good find.
Wars have been devastating to the people and wealth
Wars have been making poor the nations on the earth.
Wars have been producing artificial limbs for civilians
Wars have been seen as counter products of rebellions.
War mongers always create rapid conflicts for war
But the peace keeping good people counter it at par.
The beauty of humanity is hidden in peace and love
We don’t want vultures, we want olive leaf and dove.
Conflicts are inescapable but a war is not the solutions
We resolve them with peace, if we call us civilized nations.
Remember that peace and harmony are essential for growth
We will never wage a war, come on we should take an oath.

السلام على الأرض خيرٌ دائمٌ للبشرية،
حقيقةٌ راسخة، كالحكمة التي تقول:
صفاءُ الذهن يقود إلى حسن المصير.
الحروب لم تكن يومًا إلا خرابًا للإنسان والثروة،
تُفقِر الأمم، وتتركها مثقلةً بالجراح،
وتحوّل الأرض إلى ذاكرةٍ من الخسارات.
الحروب تصنع أطرافًا صناعيةً للمدنيين،
وتترك خلفها أجسادًا مبتورةً وأرواحًا مثقلة،
وكثيرًا ما تولد كنتاجٍ مشوَّهٍ للتمرد والفوضى.
صُنّاع الحروب يوقدون نار الصراعات مسرعين،
لكن دعاة السلام، أولئك النبلاء،
يقفون في وجهها،
يحاولون موازنتها بما بقي من إنسانية.
إن جمال الإنسانية يكمن في السلام والمحبة،
لا نريد غربان الخراب ولا نسور الموت،
بل نريد غصن الزيتون
وحمامةً تحمل بشارة الحياة.
قد تكون النزاعات قدرًا لا مفر منه،
لكن الحروب ليست الحل،
فنحن، إن كنا حقًا أممًا متحضرة،
نحسن حلّ خلافاتنا بلغة السلام.
تذكّروا أن السلام والانسجام
هما أساس كل نموٍ وازدهار،
فلنقسم معًا
ألا نرفع سلاحًا في وجه الحياة،
وأن نجعل من السلام
عهدًا لا يُنقض.
