Cruelty exposes ruling power’s fragility

The picture shows the truth that the rulers want to hide. It shows what happens when power becomes blind and arrogant.
- And it also shows that despite the chains, despite the torture, the spirit of Sindh is still alive. The youth who survive this cruelty will one day be the reason justice returns.

The photograph of the two young Sindhi activists, kidnapped and brutally tortured by the establishment, falsely labeled as terrorists by the Urdu media, released by the court of law and then abducted again, shows a heartbreaking reality that no civilized society can accept.
A young activist appears extremely weak, shackled in heavy chains, and struggling to stand without support. His eyes show pain, trauma, and fear. This shocking change in his appearance in just a short period of detention tells the world what happens to young Sindhis when they disappear into the hands of the establishment. This image is undeniable proof of torture.
This is not only a violation of law. It is an open attack on human dignity. If there were any real charges, the courts already proved that the cases were baseless. But instead of respecting the court’s decisions, the activists were kidnapped again. This shows that some forces in the country have placed themselves above the law, above the courts, and even above basic humanity.
A state establishment that treats peaceful and educated youth like this is an authority exposing its fear and its weakness. It is terrified of its own people. And a system that rules through fear has already lost the moral authority to govern.
The security and bureaucratic establishment of Pakistan seems to believe that they are protected by powerful international forces, and that no matter what crimes they commit against their own citizens, they will not face consequences. This belief is dangerously wrong. International powers protect their own interests, not the interests of abusive establishments. History shows that when a state loses the trust of its own people, no foreign support can save it.
Today, Pakistan is already facing huge challenges and serious tensions around its borders. The situation in the region is highly unstable. Wars and conflicts are dangerously close. Instead of preparing for these external threats, the establishment has opened war inside the country — against its own youth. They are punishing the very people who should be protecting the country’s future. They are destroying unity at the time when unity is needed the most.
When the state becomes cruel out of frustration and fear, it means the people are becoming stronger and more aware. Social media, independent journalism, and voices from every region — including Punjab — now expose what the Urdu media tries to hide. Lies cannot rule forever. Truth is spreading fast, from the villages of Sindh to the whole world.
Every person who sees this picture should ask themselves: how can a country survive when its brightest young people are treated worse than criminals? How can a nation claim to be strong while crushing the bones of its own defenders of justice? A country without respect for its own children has no future.
Reasonable minds in every province must speak now. Silence is support for oppression. Silence is cooperation with torture. We must stand together and refuse to allow such crimes to continue. The future of Pakistan depends on stopping these abuses before everything collapses — inside and outside the borders.
This picture is not only a picture. It is a warning. It shows the truth that the rulers want to hide. It shows what happens when power becomes blind and arrogant. And it also shows that despite the chains, despite the torture, the spirit of Sindh is still alive. The youth who survive this cruelty will one day be the reason justice returns.
