Faeze Mohammed is a remarkable Emirati artist whose work embodies the vibrant cultural heritage of the UAE while embracing modern artistic expressions. Her journey is one of passion, perseverance, and a deep connection to her roots.
A Journey Rooted in Heritage
Faeze Mohammed’s artistic journey is deeply influenced by her Emirati heritage. Inspired by the wise words of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, she found motivation in the rich culture and traditions of the UAE.
“The UAE has a rich culture and heritage that reflects traditional Arab values. Culture has a major influence on our lives in many ways. It shapes our values, beliefs, and behaviors, and I’m honored and proud to be part of this heritage,” she says.
This profound respect for her roots is evident in every piece she creates.
The Soulful Essence of Art
For Faeze, art is more than just a visual experience; it is a soulful journey.
“Art is like food for my soul. It’s my time, my solitude where I can be myself. It’s the time I can create anything that words can’t express, a time of healing and a silent dialogue only I can hear,” she explains.
Her dedication to her craft is unwavering, and her passion shines through in the meticulous details of her work.
Influences and Inspirations
While Faeze’s artistic style has evolved over the years, her exploration of orientalist art has been particularly transformative. Beginning with impressionist techniques, she eventually found her true calling in orientalist art, inspired by the works of Gustav Bauernfeind. She is fascinated by how Western artists perceive Eastern people and Middle Eastern life. Their bold colors, portrayal of the richness of Eastern lands, and historical narratives captivate me. This fascination has led her to create stunning pieces that merge Eastern beauty with Western artistic techniques.
Faeze’s art is characterized by its emotional depth and positive energy. She believes that the mood of an artist is reflected in their work.
“My goal is to transmit positive feelings to the viewer, and I’m confident that someone who looks deeply at an artwork can sense the artist’s mood,” she says.
This philosophy drives her to create pieces that resonate with viewers on a deeper level, evoking emotions and inspiring positivity.
Contributing to Emirates Cultural Landscape
Faeze’s work significantly contributes to the cultural landscape of the Emirates. With a focus on landscapes and historical places, she has created over 20 artworks, primarily done en plein air. Her new collection, which blends orientalist art with UAE culture, promises to be a unique fusion of past and present.
Engaging with the Community
Active participation in group exhibitions has allowed Faeze to engage with the local community and gain valuable experience. She particularly admire the Emirati heritage, which boasts a rich history dating back thousands of years. Her interactions with art enthusiasts and collectors have been both memorable and inspiring.

This upcoming exhibition is a testament to her artistic vision and dedication. She will exhibit her artworks at the event of celebration Emirates Women’s Day which will be organized at the end of August in Abu Dhabi, and she will showcase her masterpieces at the upcoming ADIHEX in September, in Abu Dhabi.
An Inspiration for Female Artists
To aspiring female artists, Faeze offers words of encouragement. She believes that if an individual feels that his/her soul is searching for something meaningful, they should step into the world of art and embrace a new lifestyle that fulfills their desires in a unique way. It’s never too late to embark on a new journey, especially in art. She emphasizes the importance of dedication, hard work, and finding joy in creating, regardless of age or formal education.
Faeze Mohammed is a shining example of how passion, heritage, and contemporary expression can come together to create art that resonates deeply with its audience.
