Love is an act of divinity

Loving does not make you loose character,

But hating does.

Lust-love-diceLUST STORM

(Those who don’t love and spread hatred, doubt, distrust, and confusion in nature’s ranks are the loose characters of this cosmic community)

Anyone who is easy of virtue

Is called characterless.

Character stands for the natural behaviour

Of an object, living non-living

And when it acts contrary,

We can call it characterlessness.

Love is the original characteristic of life.

Between Adam and Eve

No other emotion existed till Satan

Planted love for the

Forbidden fruit which changed

The essential character of humanity.

Men started playing with this emotion

And all that happened

Lacked humanistic virtues

And the divine character

Which made humans

A part of nature, the godly empire.

Fruits when stopped from ripening

Or animals when

Forced to stay indoors

Do not lose their essential character,

Rather, they carry on

Irrespective of human infringements

But human society over time

Evolved a value system

Which characterized humanity

When we trespass its boundaries

And violate morality

We are dubbed characterless.

Those who indulge in relationships

Society does not approve,

We call them characterless

But we are very tolerant

Towards those who indulge

In indecent and unbecoming behaviour

Those who spread the dictum of hatred,

Elope with millions, and play

With human passions,

Belie hopes

And dwindle the human stuff

Are they not deviants lacking essential human character?

Love is an act of divinity

Loving does not make you loose character,

But hating does.

All those who hate violate

The divine command and

The essential character of human kind.

Cheating, deceit, forgery,

Lies, promises,

And showing impossible dreams

Fall into the category

Of characterless behaviour

And we are in the midst of this rising lust storm.

OZYMANDIAS II: THE LIFELESS MASS

(With an apology to Shelley)

I put his broken visage

Back on his neck

And joined his legs back

Till now he was Shelley-shocked

I made him comfortable

“How come? Ozymandias

Was it angry wind and time

Or some crazy wish

Which engineered your fall?

Tears appeared in the stony eyes

A lump in his throat

He said:

I destroyed myself

Passion is an attraction between

Two things that stand apart

If they become one,

The passion disappears

Leaving behind a lifeless mass.

Ozymandias continued:

Passion is a contrivance

When catches fire

It gives our bright sparks

And burns at full speed

Only to expend itself fast

The magic flies

Leaving behind ashes

Which turn cold in no time.

Here I spread like a lifeless mass

It was my passion

That brought me down

I had dreams and passions

Which got the better

Of my judgement

And I lost

My balance which

Informs this universe.
