Once the blessing, rains have turned curse for unprivileged class. The influential class manages the disaster but poor are the actual victims

Monsoon rains are most awaited rains in many regions of Asia being one of the major sources of water. as our crops mainly depend on it. Besides, it brings down the temperature that is why it is warmly welcomed. However, if we peep into past and even in recent years, monsoon have played havoc in Asian countries. The severe kind of hot season has invited wild rains and floods making it uncontrolled. Resultantly, it has done great damage to the infrastructure, houses, roads and railways etc.

Once the blessing, rains have turned curse for unprivileged class. The influential class manages the disaster but poor are the actual victims. It might be benediction for stakeholders who make the most out of calamities and disasters even. In recent monsoon spell, the fear fraught in the minds of people compelled them to flee to far flung areas leaving their all asset except the tangible items.

It seems that we the governed one, are left at the mercy of God whereas our rulers have no concern regarding any destruction. This monsoon also I see the repetition of 2010 and 2022 rains and floods. Unfortunately, we have not learned from our past follies. In fact, we have never learnt from history.

Raising hands in the court of lord seems only salvation.
