Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas (SLCIT) hosted a farewell function in the honor of Mr. Abrar Hashmi, Consul General of Pakistan in Texas and presented with a certificate in recognition for his services to the community.

Texas State Representative Jacey Jetton also addressed the event live and thanked Abrar Hashmi for his services and presented the Proclamation Certificate as State of Texas Representative, which Mehmood Dahri presented to Abrar Hashmi in Jacey Jetton’s absence.

Texas- Consul-General- Sindh-Courier-0Consul General Pakistan Abrar Hashmi expressing his views said that Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas is providing better services to its community, which is a matter of pride. He thanked the colleagues of Texas and guests.

In the ceremony, the newly elected board of directors of Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas also took oath for the next two years which was read out by Consul General Abrar Hashmi.

Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh Marty McVey, Jay Gurrero Director Senetor John Carlon State of Texas & Albert Cheng Director Memorial Herman also addressed the event and thanked the Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas.

At the outset SLCIT President Liaquat Ali Khawaja introduced his organization while Shabbir Jatoi, member, Board of Directors, SLCIT, presented a summary of Abrar Hashmi’s life and professional career.

At the end of the event, Chairman SLCIT Mehmood Dahri paid tribute to Abrar Hashmi for his services to the community. And also thanked the guests.

A large number of officials of political, social, cultural organizations and local politicians participated in the event. The ceremony was moderated by Asad Ali Shaikh, Member of the Board of Directors of Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas. (PR)
