Girls imparted training on ‘Citizen Engagement for Good Governance’

During eight sessions, 238 students have so far received training on Local Government Act, Right to Information, Role of Office of the Provincial Ombudsman, and Good Governance.

Khairpur

Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur distributed certificates and hygiene kits among 37 female students of various Institutes and Departments during the 8th training session on “Citizen Engagement for Good Governance at Union Council Level” organized by the Civil Society Support Program (CSSP) in collaboration with Leaders Society, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on Friday.

Talking to the trainees’ students, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that we are providing a viable platform to our students at the campus for their capacity building on community related problems so they could contribute in the socio-economic transformation of the society, educating, engaging and involving students for prosperous society.

Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Coordinator Students Societies apprised the Vice Chancellor that 8 different sessions were held wherein 238 students were trained under the theme Local Government Act, Right to Information, Role of Office of the Provincial Ombudsman, and Good Governance.
