Sindh govt. approves 416 appointments under Deceased Employees’ Quota
In compliance of the apex court orders, Sindh govt. has provided jobs to 9651 persons under the Deceased Employees’ Quota since 2018

A committee, headed by Sindh Chief Secretary, has approved the appointment of 416 persons in different provincial government departments against the Deceased Employees’ Quota.
The approval of appointment was given in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput on Tuesday March 28, 2023.
Sindh government, in compliance of the apex court orders, has provided the jobs to 9651 persons under the Deceased Employees’ Quota since 2018.
An official handout said that the meeting approved 143 appointments in school education department, 9 in agriculture department, 2 each in Information Department, Auqaf Department, and Culture Department, 6 in Revenue Department, 13 in College Education Department, 4 in Cooperative Department, one each in Energy Department and Anti-Corruption Department, 7 in Food Department, 70 in Health Department, 56 in Irrigation and 19 in Livestock Department.
Chief Secretary constituted a 3-member committee headed by Law Secretary to examine the law relating to a condition for applying for job against the deceased employees’ quota within sixty days or two years.
He also directed all the Deputy Commissioners to convene meetings of District Recruiting Committees as soon as possible for deciding the applications for jobs against the deceased quota. (PR)
