Sindh starts issuing Disability Certificates to the disabled persons

Such camps are to be organized across the province; disabled persons have been advised to contact for certificates

Sindh government’s Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has launched a program of holding one-window camps across the province for issuing Disability Certificates to the persons with different disabilities.

First of such one-window camps was held on Tuesday October 12, 2021 in Hyderabad where as many as 135 persons with disabilities benefited by availing disability assessment certificates. Some 21 cases were referred for further expert opinion to Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMS) Hyderabad and PMC Nawabshah.

Disability Certificates are issued through National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). A mobile van of NADRA was present at the camp.

Disabled-Certificates-Sindh-Courier-1Ghulam Nabi Nizamani, Director General, Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority (PSDPA), Munir Bhatti, Deputy Director RCPH Hyderabad, Hasan Ali Laghari, Deputy Director RCPH Mirpurkhas and Amin Memon RD Hyderabad were present at the camp.

Lal Baloch of HANDS Independent Living Center Hyderabad and Saeed Khan of AHW Hyderabad cooperated in the holding the camp.

Such one-window camps would also be held in other districts of the province.

Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister, Sadiq Ali Memon, in a statement, said that such camps are being held on regular basis across the province and the persons with disabilities should contact their concerned office to get information and disability certificates as well. (PR)
