Kyrgyzstan plays a significant role in the development of trade routes between Europe and Asia, the press service of the Spanish Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
The Spanish Foreign Ministry also emphasized the role of Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries in the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
“In this regard, Spain, which will chair the EU Council in the second half of 2023, will support the strengthening of relations between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union, in particular through the European Global Gateway initiative,” the ministry said.
It was also noted that Spain is determined to further deepen and strengthen relations with Kyrgyzstan, given the growing importance of the country in the current geopolitical landscape.
The press service of the Spanish Foreign Ministry added that Spanish companies can make a significant contribution to the development of the Kyrgyz economy in promising areas such as renewable energy, water management and infrastructure development.
