Over 250 Laptops have been arranged at 9 primary schools in Thar Coal Block-2

Thar Foundation (TF) has initiated a program to impart IT education in its primary schools in Tharparkar.
The TF runs 24 schools in Thar Coal Block-2 with total students of around 4000. Of these, nine are primary schools where some 1600 students are enrolled.
The TF has arranged Laptops in its schools where kids are taught to use computer and learn basic applications of computer.
“More than 250 laptops have been installed in Thar Foundation schools where special classes have been started. This program will help our kids to learn computer skills at very early stage of their education,” a TF press release said on Monday.
“We trained more than 25 teachers on basic IT,” it added.
Thar Foundation is implementing its program with the support of Government of Sindh under the umbrella of SECMC. The program aims to positively impact lives of communities in Block-2 and adjoining areas under SDGs Framework. (PR)
