THE NAKED SOULS
The land is desolated
By famine of hunger
Sold in mortgage of greedy voracity
With reckless abandon
While we lay restive
Through the midnight of broken tears
And gasping belly amidst laughter
The avalanche swings to and fro
The carcass of death veiled
Through the invading night
While the collywobbles shut the gob
When we are on the take
The land had sunk to dryness
By the long tide
That wait no longer for the past
To be restored
Canonical plunder of nimble fingers
Immaculate saints of infirmity
The gag has stuck at our throats
And the truth remain unforetold
By the seers of visionary pillagers
The chained around our necks
The shackles on our feet
And the fetter on our wrist
Strangled and muffled
We left the world unpronounced
The word we buried deep in the mind
And memory we carry to the grave
The bulwark of stagnancy
Betrothed on our nimble feet
To fetter the walk of aspersions we cast on avarice
And our hands are tied
To undetectable fate
Of lies and greediness
Entangled our tongue and lay bare the naked souls.
