Shakil Ahmed, a renowned poet from Assam state of India, shares his poem
Shakil Ahmed was born on 31st January 1969 at Badarpur, Assam, India. He completed his master’s degree in English Literature from Assam University, Silchar, Assam. He started his professional life as an Assistant Professor of English. Since his boyhood he was an ardent lover of literature especially of poems. Ahmed’s creative world is aesthetic with philosophical aspects being pregnant with both mundane and universal perspectives from every corner of life. Among his published works “Whispering Words” is notable. Poems of this anthology proved his keen association with imaginative works. In the Anthology, he accurately presents the solemnity of the poem in the jingle of impossibly beautiful similes, imagery and composition. He sings the ultimate triumph of love through universal social behavior in happiness, sorrow, laughter, tears, separation and reunion. He has portrayed the immortality of love in the construction of the body of the poems. His another book on poems “Rhythm”, a collaborative work with Sankar Sarkar, is full with philosophical views of life. His notable book of poems “Echo of Love”, a collaborative work with Lalita Garcia, the Head of the Department of English at Taguig City University, Philippine, is a spectacular anthology, replete with jubilation of romantic love. His latest Anthology ”Journey Together: Cross Border Poetry ” is a collaborative work with internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi Poet, Author, Translator and Corporate Governance Specialist and Researcher Shakil Kalam. His upcoming anthology “Quest of Love” is full with poems of romantic love. He has received many awards and certificates for his writing poems and social works. Most recently his work has been recognized with “Kazi Nazrul Islam Birth Anniversary Award 2022” from Sahitya Patha, a global literary group.
