ROME — International cultural promoter Dr. Angela Kosta was honored with the prestigious “Rita Levi-Montalcini” Award for Excellence on September 18, 2026, during the “Excellence Is Woman” Congress held at Palazzo Valentini in Rome.
The congress inaugurated a series of activities marking the 40th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine awarded in 1986 to the pioneering Italian scientist Rita Levi-Montalcini. Promoted by the 213-year-old Tiberina Academy—registered with the United Nations—in collaboration with the Levi-Montalcini Foundation and the International Cultural Academy Cartagine 2.0, the event celebrated female talent, intelligence, and contributions across science, culture, and society.
Dr. Kosta, an Albanian native who has lived in Italy for 31 years, serves as the President of the Press Office within the Department of Literature at the Tiberina Academy, where the annual “Excellence Is Woman” initiative originated.
A Lifetime of Cultural Bridge-Building
The award citation recognized Dr. Kosta’s dedication to cross-cultural dialogue and literary exchange:
