Oh, if only my sleepless nights were filled with light,
If your father knew of my love’s height.
This foolish heart of mine would fill with delight,
If my eyes could see you, even once, in my sight.

FIRST LOVE
My pen is too weak to describe your grace,
Each time I see you, I’m struck by pain’s embrace.
My only desire is to meet with you,
No fairy, no idol could ever replace.
Do you have so many lovers in this world?
Please don’t torment me with such cruel words.
Why is it so hard to meet you now?
I feel like nothing next to you, just dust swirled.
Your words tear at my heart, bit by bit,
How sweet are your eyes, I can’t handle it.
You’re depriving me of your presence and light,
Yet you once said, “Without you, I can’t live, not a bit.”
For you, I’ve given my soul, don’t you see?
Look, my poems are written for you endlessly.
Seeing the beauty of my beloved once more,
Would make other lovers faint to the floor.
Oh, if only my sleepless nights were filled with light,
If your father knew of my love’s height.
This foolish heart of mine would fill with delight,
If my eyes could see you, even once, in my sight.
