KDA to build new Storm Water Drain in Karachi

Construction of 15000 ft. long drain will cost Rs.789 million – Nasir Shah  

Karachi, Sindh

The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is constructing a new Storm Water Drain from 4K Chowrangi to Lyari River Yusuf Goth Gadap town with the financial support of Sindh government.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while laying the foundation stone of the project on Sunday, said, “The construction of storm water drain will help to control the situation during rains.”

Minister Labor and Human Resources Saeed Ghani, MNA Shahida Rahmani, Secretary LG Najam Ahmad Shah, Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, CM Coordinator Shehzad Memon and MC KMC Syed Shujaat were present.

KDA Superintendent Engineer Abdul Muttalib Manan briefed the minister about project and said that the length of the storm water drain is about 15000 running feet.

Minister LG said that the construction of the storm water drain will cost around Rs.798 million and all resources will be used to complete the said drain before the stipulated time. (PR)
