Scholarship opportunities for female students for the postgraduate degree program are also available under USAID program.
Tando Jam: The students of Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam were handed scholarship cheques under Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship program and Sindh government’s need-cum-merit basis scholarship program at a ceremony held here in Senate Hall on Friday.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University, said that the federal and provincial governments have provided many scholarship opportunities for deserving and eligible students to facilitate higher education.
He said that Sindh Agriculture University is providing best educational opportunities and facilities to poor students. The modern, professional and scientific facilities are available in institution for the students from rural and urban areas of Sindh.
Dr. Marri said that jobs in private and public sector institutions, organizations and agro-based industries would now be available on the basis of merit and experience, so students should benefit from scholarships and internships and during the interview in any organization, they should prove their personality in confident, attractive and dignified way.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kambhar, Director, University Advancement and Financial Assistance, said that 296 cheques have been distributed in the first phase of Ehsaas Scholarship and 46 cheques have been distributed under Need-cum-Merit Scholarship of Sindh Government.
He said that there are many opportunities for performance-oriented scholarships, but for that the academic performance should be good, while there are also scholarship opportunities for female students for the postgraduate degree program by USAID 2021.
