The Provincial Department of School Education, in a meeting held here a couple of days back, decided to fill 1500 vacancies of Early Childhood Teachers (ECT). All these vacancies will be filled with female teachers.
Minister for Education Sardar Shah, who chaired the meeting, directed the officials to finalize the matters for recruiting the ECTs on merit basis by conducting the test through third party as soon as possible.
Minister was informed that after increasing the number of sanctioned posts, some 1500 vacancies are to be filled with ECTs. According to the officials, recruitment of 1100 ECTs was announced in 2018 for which the test was conducted through IBA and 660 candidates were selected and appointed. Now, 1100 more vacancies have been added to remaining 400 vacancies increasing the number again to 1500. (PR)
