Sindhi community of India celebrate Sindhi Language Day

Various programs were organized to celebrate 10th April when in 1967, Sindhi Language was added to the 8th Schedule of Indian Constitution

In Vadodara and other cities, Sindhi community celebrated the Language Day as Sindhi Kadhi-Chawal Day, being the Sindhi cuisine

Like other cities of India, the Sindhi community of Vadodara (Baroda) city of Gujarat state, celebrated on Monday April 10 as the Sindhi Language Day 2023 as well as Sindhi Kadhi-Chawal Day.

Vadodara-Sindhi-Language-Day-Sindh-Courier-1In Baroda, it was celebrated at Sindhu Sagar Talav, Sant Kanwar Nagar Warasia by Baroda Sindhi Samaj.

Sain Mukeshlal of Prem Prakash Dharam Tirth, Councilor Hiro Kanjwani, Haresh Agnani, Murli Bhojwani, Girdharilal Kishorani and many other Sindhi notables were present in the program.

Vadodara-Sindhi-Language-Day-Sindh-Courier-2The cultural songs related to Sindhi Language Day and religious songs of Jhulelal were sung at the bank of Sindhu Sagar Talav.

Program was followed by lunch having Sindhi Kadhi, Chawal (rice), roti (round shape flat bread), Sabzi (vegetable curry), sweet, butter milk.

Vadodara-Sindhi-Language-Day-Sindh-Courier-4In Vadodara, premium show of Sindhi Movie “Waqt Vado Balwan” will be screened in Dindayal Auditorium from 8pm.

Director of movie is Mr. Jay Kumar Basrani and Assistant Director Mr. Vijay Nariyani.
